You can make an adult cloth diaper or diaper cover sewing pattern using an existing product!
Not only is this a simple process to create your own sewing pattern by tracing an adult diaper or cover, but you can easily modify the pattern to better fit your body. The best part is, you don’t need to cut up the product you have to create a pattern! While I sell a few adult and big kid incontinence patterns over at Little Onion Incontinence Patterns, I certainly don’t have a pattern for everything.
Maybe you just want to try making your own pattern or you have a product you love, but can’t find anymore. Either way, making an adult cloth diaper pattern takes some time and patience, but is a simple way to make you own cloth incontinence items.
You just need the following supplies:
– Paper
– Tape (if you need to use multiple pieces of paper)
– Tape measure
– Ruler
– Pencil
– Cloth diaper or cover
Sketching around elastic may present a challenge, so go slow and take the time to double check your measurements by using your existing product for the best chance of creating a successful pattern. Making an adult cloth incontinence pattern has never been easier!
